THE BALLAD OF ISOSCELES
“A bewitching performer, whose songs cling and haunt..."
- THE GUARDIAN
“The Ballad of Isosceles is an eerie, unsettling and beautiful performance piece. While experimental in form, we are always sure that we’re in the safe hands of a highly accomplished performer and vocalist.”
-MATT FENTON (AD @ Contact Theatre)
The Ballad of Isosceles is a one-to-one performance for two people at a time exploring voyeurism, the Lynchian iconography of the chanteuse and the strange rhythms of vicarious pleasure.
This piece was commissioned by Contact Theatre's Sensored Festival of Art and Performance for a residency culminating in a public festival. It has also been shown at Catalyst Arts's FIX15 Biennale and SLAP York's SLAP 2019 festival. It was developed into a 360/VR film experience in 2020 in collaboration with New Adelphi Theatre & students on the TV & Stage Design course at the University of Salford.
A full video and promoter’s pack is available by request. Please contact the artist for details.
